Day Trips From Port Douglas

Day trips from Port Douglas include the ever popular Daintree Rainforest and Great Barrier Reef, but you can go further affield.

Take a day to visit Cairns and Palm Cove. Maybe take the scenic train and cable car for a day in the rainforest, admiring Barron Falls, and exploring “The Village in The Rainforest”. Kuranda.

Then you could explore the waterfalls, lakes, and rolling hills of the Tablelands. There’s lots to see and do up there!

You can even go Hot Air Ballooning, bungee jumping or skydiving.

Paronella Park isn’t so far away, you could go there in a day, but it would be a long day. You could even head on up to historic Cooktown.
